Silver Sky Designs is the long-time dream of a mom who has always loved designing and creating things. Jewelry-making began as a craft to enjoy with my daughters and quickly became a passion. Creating a company that showcases handmade products was right up my alley and the internet has made it possible to offer these things to a large customer base conveniently, even as a home-based business that consists of a mom and two daughters!

In this day of mass manufacturing and high-tech processes, it seems we can buy almost anything and someone is always making it cheaper than the last guy. In such a highly populated, fast-moving world as we now live in, we are blessed to have such technology.

Products are certainly more affordable when mass-produced and it’s necessary to have so many things readily available to consumers today.

However, we’ve lost much of the personal touch and the feeling it creates to know you own something created entirely by hand with care and attention each step of the way. While mass-production has simplified many processes, there is still an element of pride in being able to say “It’s handmade.”

At Silver Sky Designs, our goal is to bring back a bit of the simpler times by creating affordable handmade products and adding a little warmth to the mechanical, technical, fast-moving world we live in by providing a personal touch with our handmade creations. Our jewelry is made to be stylish, affordable and fun to wear, yet elegant and distinctive. We want to offer what can’t be found on the fashion jewelry display stands at most department stores. We are continually adding new designs to our line in our effort to offer a selection in which there is something to please everyone.

If you find something that’s almost, but not quite, what you’re looking for, please let us know. Most of the jewelry we make can be customized with different colors or different metals to suit your needs.

Unique custom requests are also welcome. If you’d like something designed just for you, we would love the opportunity to work with you to make your idea real.

It’s a Family Matter!

My daughters are a great deal of help in this venture and they, too, share my love of creating things. They love being a part of mom’s business and contribute in many ways. In fact, some of my most popular designs have been their ideas! Although they are still young, I see a creative spark in each of them that I’m sure will carry over into their adult lives. Meanwhile, we enjoy working together and they’re getting lots of wonderful learning experiences.
